Hi Cécile. But as Dragana says, in the e-mailed vocabulary test today - Conseils et astuces en cuisine - the only accepted spelling is hâcher with a circumflex.

Pronunciation of "râper"?

Is "râper" really pronounced to rhyme with "cher"? Because that's the pronunciation given when you click on the speaker button in the "Cooking / Faire la cuisine (v)" vocabulary list at https://progress.lawlessfrench.com/learn/theme/1513111

To brown (meat)

The test I took only accepted "faire rissoler".  Can you not also say "faire dorer"?  Or is that a Canadianism?

Hi Diana,

Yes, you could say 'faire dorer' or 'faire revenir' also.

Bonne continuation!
