How the test works

Here's a preview of the text for the writing challenge, when you're ready click the start button above:

- Back in my day, winters used to be much harsher. Snow used to fall heavily every year in the Alps, (the) Pyrenees and (the) Jura. - That's right, Ferdinand! I remember it perfectly! This year, it barely snowed in the mountains and the ski resorts had to use fake snow. I wonder if next year's winter will be any different. - Summers also have changed drastically. When we were young, heatwaves were occasional, whereas nowadays, they've become more frequent and unbearable. Besides, in the last few years, France has experienced episodes of torrential rain which led to flash floods. And it's highly likely that all this becomes more and more regular. - I completely agree with you, Ferdinand! I hope that they will find ways of reversing these changes!
