My favourite painter is (the) Belgian artist René Magritte. I discovered his art at school, when I saw the painting "The Treachery of Images (This is not a pipe)" in a book. I immediately liked his style. His paintings combine ordinary objects and (some) more abstract and strange ideas. I find him very poetic. My favourite painting is "The Empire of Light" where you see a street by night with a sky by day. This work fascinates me. I really want to go to Brussels one day to be able to visit his museum.
