How would you describe what makes a good love song? Personally, I need the lyrics to tug at my heartstrings. Whether they evoke love at first sight or the unbearable pain of a broken heart, they have to manage to be universal while avoiding falling into clichés. The magic operates when the artist succeeds in expressing that special moment when our heart starts to flutter, (when) our palms become sweaty and (when) nothing else matters any more. Of course, it's not enough to find the right words, it's also necessary to create the perfect melody that will remain etched in our minds. So, what would be your favourite love song?
