Today, let's cook a classic dish from Burgundy: Bœuf Bourguignon! Follow my instructions and you will create a delicious meal. First, peel and chop (the) carrots and (the) onions. Heat a bit of oil in a big casserole dish. Brown the pieces of beef and add (the) lardons [US: diced bacon], (the) thyme, two bay leaves and the vegetables. After five minutes, sprinkle (with) two tablespoons of flour and stir well. Then, pour in one litre [US: liter] of red Burgundy wine and fifty centilitres [US: centiliters] of beef stock. Cover and leave to simmer over low heat for three hours. Fry 250 g of mushrooms and add them to the casserole dish at the end. Serve hot with (some) potatoes.
