I stopped smoking last November, and I still find it hard to believe that it was a year ago already! In the beginning, I really suffered: I had sudden cravings which woke me up in the middle of the night, and I really felt the nicotine withdrawal. Fortunately, my wife never smoked, which made things easier at home. But it was harder when we were going out with smoker friends. But I held on, and little by little, I started to feel the positive effects: I wasn't out of breath when I went up the stairs anymore for example. I would have only one piece of advice for you: don't give up, it's worth it!
