How the test works

Here's a preview of the text for the writing challenge, when you're ready click the start button above:

- Hello, we've just got here in La Clusaz this morning, and you've been recommended [to us] by the hotel's receptionist. Though we go skiing every year, my wife prefers that we rent our equipment on-site. We therefore need outfits for two adults and two children, as well as four pairs of skis and the poles that go with (them). - No problem! We have what you need! Our packages include the ski suits, ski boots, skis and ski poles. - Perfect! The children will need to try the boots on, because they're changing shoe sizes almost every day! - I know what that's like, I have a 7 year-old son! - Exactly! By the way, would you know where to go to book ski lessons for the children? - Here's the card of a friend of mine who is a ski instructor. - Thanks! And before I forget, do you also sell ski lift passes? - No, sorry, for that, you must ask the shop next door.

I'll be right with you...
