Après + infinitif versus après que+indicatif

Question

I am very confused:
 Ex: After YOU visited the city, YOU… ( same subject). Why is it translated by: «  après que vous avez visité la ville, vous… instead of «  après avoir visité la ville, vous… ».  Merci de me répondre.

the lesson linked is a lesson on ‘après que … ’. Using ‘après avoir …’ is not incorrect, but not the point of this lesson. 
You may already know however that some ( ‘most’ of those that I know ) native French speakers will avoid using ‘après que …’ because the indicative rather than the subjunctive ‘sounds wrong to them’, even though they know it is ‘grammatically’ correct.

Annelise, glad I wrote ‘you may already know …’ ! My wife is French too - and definitely avoids ‘après que …’, for the same reasons Camille notes in her blog.
