Conduire de nuit

Conduire de nuit

Same sort of question here for the proper use of « de ». Shouldn’t it be « conduire à la nuit « ? Why « conduire de nuit »?

ChrisC1 Kwiziq Q&A super contributor Correct answer

Conduire de nuit -- to drive by night.
sortir la nuit -- to go out at night.

I would translate de nuit with "by night" and la nuit with "at night".

Nah, there'll always be things you pick up along the way. Happens to me all the time. :) Plus, I don't think this is covered in a lesson on kwiziq. Just a subtlety.
