fait du bien
This question relates to:French lesson "Tout ce qui/Tout ce que = All/everything that (French Relative Pronouns)"

Raymond,
‘ faire du bien ( à qqn ) … ‘ - fixed expressions. Translates in English ‘ do some good ( for/to someone ) ‘. In English, ‘ some ‘ can be dropped, but ‘ du ‘ is not dropped in the expression in French.
Fixed expressions are usually best treated as just that however, and trying to deconstruct them word for word is often not helpful.
