Funéraire (adjective) relates to the associated paraphernalia involved eg. urns, drapes, and other tangible items.
Funérailles (noun) refers to the ceremony including homage, interment, paying respects, etc.

Les funérailles is used for the funeral service of someone famous, denoting usually a much bigger event than a normal funeral. A normal funeral would be l'enterrement.
