How to ask about dimensions?

Greetings, What would it look like to turn these phrases into questions in order to ask how deep, tall, wide, or long something is?

This question relates to:French lesson "Expressing dimensions and measurements in French (French Numbers)"

This is a common way to ask:

Quelle est la longueur de cette pièce ? -- How long is this room?
Quelle est la hauteur de cette tour ? -- How high is that tower?
etc.

Could you also follow the language in the lesson and say something like "Ce bâtiment fait combien de haut?" ou "Ce bâtiment est haut de combien?" or would that sound odd? Or would you need to add a unit so "Ce bâtiment fait combien metres de haut?"
