I don't understand why "étrangères" is at the end of the sentence?

if it's talking about all those subjects being foreign, then the English is very misleading because that's not what I understood from it at all. I also agree with other comments saying how a lot of what's in these exercises are not covered in lessons. For example I have never seen the expression "en quoi" and don't really get why it's used here? Why is there no lesson on this and yet it's expected as the only correct answer to one of these questions? and why is there "d'" in "mon but est D'avoir ma licence"??

Regarding en quoi: this derives from usage such as: Je me suis enscrit en science. The phrase is: 
s'inscrire en qqc. -- to enroll in sth.
Regarding the trailing étrangères: 
La langue étrangère, la litterature étrangère, la civilisation étrangère, you combine it all to la langue, la litterature, la civilisations étrangères. Consequently, the adjective is feminine plural because it applies to all three nouns.
