Lequel est le plus grammaticalement correct?

Quel est le différence entre "Peux-tu passer au supermarché ?" et "Peux-tu passer par au supermarché ?" "Here's the full text for you to read and listen to."shows "Peux-tu passer au supermarché ?" but QuizIQ gave me "Peux-tu passer par au supermarché ?" in the exercise.

I thought "passer par" meant something more like "drop by" than "pass by" Is this more just a matter of style & formality than anything else?
