Lol. I had to look this phrase up. A good one to know and I learned a new verb!

Most of the examples I came across used honni not honi?

Chris W.C1 Kwiziq Q&A super contributor

It’s a saying derived from old French. The original spelling was « honi ». The modern spelling is « honni ».
