parcourir or couvrir?

Can 'parcourir' be used interchangeably with 'couvrir' in the context of this exercise?

Hi Andrea,

I assume that you are referring to the following text:-

"have time to cover this semester's twelve chapters"

couvrir as a transitive verb takes the sense of wrapping or putting a lid on ..

parcourir transitive verb takes a sense of roaming / wandering / browsing / scanning

So to my mind, "couvrir" is most appropriate in the context of the lesson and I wouldn't expect to substitute"parcourir" given the meanings outlined above.

Bonne continuation

Jim
