Position of pas in the sentences

Why does the written explanation say ne pas penser and then the examples have ne penser pas?

Can you explain if this is a misprint or which side of the verb pas should go please

If you look carefully, you'll only see conjugated forms of penser between ne and pas, never the infinitive.

Je ne pense pas que Marie vienne. -- I don't think Marie is coming.
Il faut ne pas penser, mais agir. -- One mustn't think but act.

If this is the case then it would be useful if some of the examples showed this. There are no examples using infinitives.
