Preposition de with time nouns

Two phrases:

Je pense au match de football de la semaine prochaine.

Je pense à mon mariage le mois prochain.

Question: why preposition "de" is in front of "la semaine", but it is not in front of "le mois"?

Eugene, I think this is just the same as the difference in English between using the possessive form ‘ next week’s match ‘  ( instead of ‘ the match next week’ ); the second sentence being simply ‘ my marriage next month ‘.
