Quick question

HI,

My friend and I were wondering who would be correct.

She said: The sentence would be vous venez à hurt heures ce soir?

But, I told her the sentence should be Vous venez à vingt-deux ce soir. Since it would be the 24 hour clock for 8pm. Would I be correct?

Thanks

Nicole

8 pm in the 24-hour system is 20:00, and so vingt heures. The two proper ways to say this are:

Vous venez à huit heures ce soir? (informal and used mostly in this kind of situation)
Vous venez à vingt-deux heures ce soir? (formal and less likely to be used in a friendly setting)
