Reflexive v in the passé composé

Je me suis lavé les dents.I brushed my teeth.
...shouldn’t the verb be se brosser ?

Technically, Je me suis lavé les dents means I washed my teeth. To say I brushed my teeth use se brosser, but they are both acceptable.
