Hi all, I am not getting my head around the sentence- C'est la fameuse "auberge espagnole" du titre.. why is du titre at the end. thanks
Dictation exercise B1
Mo - ' du titre ' - the famous auberge (mentioned/referred to) in the title. Aurélie goes on to explain the expression 'auberge espagnole'.
In English, the US title "The Spanish Apartment" carries no hidden meaning as far as I am aware (I am not from the US), but in French the title indicates the type of apartment, situations and movie to be expected !
' Pot Luck ' comes closer in English, but still not quite as concise I think.
