Hello,
I have a question. I understand how to use the inverted question when you have a vowel -t . But my question is is there an easy way to understand when to use either the Estimate ce- que or the inverted?
Thank you
Nicole

Which version of formulating a question to use depends largely on the register of language and the situation. The inverted form sounds very formal and is almost absent in everyday French. The intonation question is the least formal and very common in everyday French. Est-ce que is somewhere in between.
In the days of streaming video like Netflix or Amazon Prime, I listen to most videos with French audio. You can also add subtitles of your preferred language. Have been doing this for well over a year now. And, magically, I developed a subconscious feeling for many intricacies and idiosyncrasies of French. Give it a try.
