vivre vs. habiter

One of the examples in this lesson reads, "Tu vis en dehors de la ville." I was wondering about the distinction (if there is any, subtle though it may be) between saying that and saying, "Tu habites en dehors de la ville."

Bonjour Francisco,

On the Q&A Forum front page, there is a box to allow a search of the forum.

Simply enter a term or word that you wish to find and hit return on your device. There is a good chance that queries about the subject will have been addressed previously.

https://progress.lawlessfrench.com/questions/view/bonjour-when-shall-i-use-habiter-and-when-vivre-oh-and-when-demeurer

The link above is an example where I did such a search on your behalf.

I mention this technique to allow you to potentially get the information you require without the delay involved in waiting for a Forum reply to a new query.

Bonne journée
