Why is "arrivé" femine?

For the below sentence, is it not the baby (masculine) the subject to the verb arriving? Why is it conjugated in the feminine form? - c'est-à-dire que nous sommes dans la dernière ligne droite avant l'arrivée tant attendue de notre premier enfant

Thanks.

Just found out the answer to my question, thought I'd share: in the above, "l'arrivée" is the feminine noun "the arrival" and not the verb "arriver" conjugated. Thus, "attendue" is in feminine form to accord to the n.f. of "arrivée"
