wrong translation in hint in the question
It should be "The Lady in Black has haunted this house for centuries" instead of The Woman in Black has haunted this house for centuries for the question La Dame en Noir ________ cette maison depuis des siècles. "The woman" will translate to "la femme" whereas in question it was "La Dame" so it should give "The Lady" in hint translation.
This question relates to:French lesson "Using the present tense (Le Présent) - and not the compound past (Le Passé Composé) - in sentences with "depuis" (since/for) in French (French Prepositions of Time)"

I can’t see the question you are referring to, but the names in French and English appear to be from an original book in English and subsequent movie releases, in French and English.
Translations are rarely unique, and ‘ dame ‘ is not an incorrect French translation of ‘ woman ‘ here. Back -translating from ‘ dame ‘ in French to ‘ woman ‘ is not incorrect either.
It doesn’t affect the question or answer required, and it is appropriate to adhere to use of the titles as released publicly.
