To me, the quality of comfort foods is inversely proportional to their nutritional value. I might even say that the more caloric the dish is, the more comforting I find it! That's the reason why I try and only eat this type of food occasionally, when I need my meal to make me forget the chaos of my day, (my) week or (my) month! My favourite comfort dishes vary according to the time of year, but they comprise at least one of the following ingredients: (some) potatoes, (some) cheese or (some) bacon. Therefore, you won't be surprised that raclette and tartiflette feature in my top 3! There is nothing in the world that can fill my soul with (a) goopy happiness like looking at the simmering reblochon on top of a homemade tartiflette... My mouth waters just thinking about it! I would also consider as comfort food what my mother used to cook for us as children. These dishes will forever evoke an enchanted and hassle-free time in my life, and eating them never fails to make me feel better.

I'll be right with you...
