Verbs conjugate with auxillary avoir - past pariciples agreeing in number/gender.Request: Need to know the situation (and also the lesson) when verbs conjugated with Verbs using "avoir" where past participle agrees with noun in gender and number as in" Quelles bonnes resolutions as-tu prises cette année ? Thanks.

Definite articles for parts of the bodyHaving read the lesson about using the definite article when referring to parts of the body, why does the idiom for "taking to one's heels" translate as "nous avons pris nos jambes à notre cou"? as in the practice lesson "la main dans le sac" posted on Facebook recently.
