A beautiful pull

Question

Doing some revision and this lesson has had me in knots.

Can somebody confirm or correct me please

Tu aimes mon pull ? -Oui, il est très beau

Does this get to the point?

Tu aimes mon pull ? -Oui, c'est un très beau pull...?

Hi Mark, 
If someone asks you -
Tu aimes mon pull ? Do you like my sweater?
You can say either -
Oui, il est très beau. = Yes, it is very beautiful.
or
Oui, c'est un très beau pull. = Yes, it's a very beautiful sweater. 
Just two ways of saying the same thing.

Hi Mark,As I see it -- To write "Tu aimes mon pull ?" is quite specific, therefore the response "Oui, Il est très beau" gives a specific response to a specific question.I suppose that "Oui, c'est un très beau pull" is probably acceptable in normal speech but may not give the "correct answer" in a quiz.Hope this helps.Jim
