Hello everyone. I was taking a quiz in which I respond like this "nous nous sommes brossés les chevaux" but the site says that it is nearly correct and this version is correct " nous nous sommes brossé les chevaux". And it made me curious because the subject is plural and there is a reflexive verb!!!! Anyone could explain this contradiction?
Just to add to what Maarten said, take a look at my answer on the same question -
Just one little note
les cheveux = hair
les chevaux = horses
The second nous is an indirect object pronoun and so no agreement.
If you look further through the questions under the lesson you linked, you will find the answer to this - Céline has covered it again recently and provided a link to a more comprehensive previous answer as well.
As Jim refers to, the direct object in this sentence is ‘les cheveux’ which follows the verb, so no agreement. The 2nd ‘nous’ is an indirect object here - no agreement either.
