Adorer vs aimer

Adorer vs aimer

I was corrected when translating "love" with adorer instead of aimer, but on my next quiz "love" was translated with adorer. Is there a way to remember which to use? They were both regarding inanimate objects.

Thanks!

Hi Lefty,

I am so sorry but your question went through the net.

Without the context, it is hard to say.

This has been asked before and if you take a look at the answers at the bottom of this lesson it might help you in the future.

Aimer = to love, like something/someone in French

Bonne Continuation !
