Yes! I think that you are correct.

The preposition "de" is followed by a stress pronoun, so de lui and d'eux are correct.

As a non-grammarian I sometimes find the way usage is expressed, eg 'de is followed by a stress pronoun' difficult to follow. I find it easier to translate to English - I would not say of he or of they, I would say of him etc.
