Après avoir/être
All of the examples I've seen with après avoir/être + past particple are followed by another action in the past tense e.g. 'après avoir lu mon livre, je suis allé au lit'. However, can the comstruction be used with a second action in the present tense? e.g. 'après avoir lu mon livre, je vais au lit' to mean 'after reading my book, I go to bed'.
