Au finale vs au final

Would either be accepted? It's my understanding that one means "at the end", and the other means "finally". Thank you

Bonjour James,

"Au finale" would not work as "finale" is feminine so the preposition "au" should be "à la finale" - which has a very different meaning to "at the end / finally"-> https://www.wordreference.com/fren/finale  -  https://www.wordreference.com/fren/au%20final

I hope this is helpful.

Bonne journée !
