Why is 'Ben will sit' translated as 'restera assi' rather than 's'assiera' ?
Ben s'assiera -- Ben will sit downBen restera assis -- Ben will remain seated.
“S’asseoir” is the act of sitting down. “Rester assis” is the condition of being seated. So, unless Ben was continually seating himself then rising and reseating himself while doing his homework, “ s’assiéra “ is wrong.
