If you wish to learn a bit more about views at the time of the Revolution, here are two links to two famous writers (Edmund Burke and Thomas Paine) who witnessed (from afar or close) the French Revolution. They both expressed opposite and strong views on the Revolution.

Hi Margaret,

Not clear about what you are querying but I would expect "C'est possible que" should be followed by a verb in the subjunctive mood. That is not the case in your headline text.
