'compris' meaning 'including'

'I share my apartment with five people, including one girl.'

I realise the lesson is about 'dont', but could one use 'compris' or 'y compris' instead of dont? If so, which, and would compris need an e because the girl is feminine?

Bonjour Mike,

The phrase "y compris" could work here!

"y compris" (and "non compris") stay(s) as it/they is/are (no agreement) when what it/they refer(s) to is placed after: (example with "une clé" - which is feminine in French)

J'ai perdu mes clés, y compris mes clés de voiture = I lost my keys, including my car keys

Je partage mon appartement avec cinq personnes, y compris une fille = I share my apartment with five people, including one girl

I hope this is helpful.

Bonne journée !
