In "Vous continuez tout droit et quand vous arrivez au premier croisement", can 'croisement' be replaced by 'carrefour'? Are they the same thing?

Hi Eldra,
To me, both words can be used for crossroads - a junction where several roads meet.
But as this is a dictation exercise and not a translation one, what is required of you is to write down what is being said.
