Deliberate misleading

'We have the teacher we wanted' - 'Nous avons le professeur que nous voulions'

I know full well that you include 'que' here (as a subjective pronoun follows) so why don't you put 'that' in the English example so as not to mislead into a deliberate wrong answer (We have the teacher that we wanted). This is out of order.

This is not deliberately misleading - it is highlighting a key, commonly encountered grammatical difference between English and French. 
The point is that in French “ que “ is always needed, whereas in English “ that “ is frequently left out. Whether the English sentence is “ we have the teacher we wanted” or “ we have the teacher that we wanted “, the translation is the same in French.
