do you just drop the subjunctive for the future indicative?

do you just drop the subjunctive for the future indicative?

I would guess that 'j'espere que' take the subjunctive, even when the clause refers to the future.  But the clause is actually in the future!  So does this mean that the future trumps a subjunctive? (I understand that there is no future-subjenctive)

“ Espérer que “ in affirmative, as for the expressions in the lesson linked below, does not need subjunctive, and will usually refer to a future event, so mostly takes the future tense in French. This has been covered by Cécile previously also (the 2nd link is not same as the 1st).

There are many good reference sites on web where subjunctive use can be checked - the 3nd link is one.

"Penser/trouver/savoir/croire/prétendre que" are followed with the indicative mood (L'Indicatif) in affirmative sentences BUT with the subjunctive mood (Le Subjonctif) in negative ones

"Penser/trouver/savoir/croire/prétendre que" are followed with the indicative mood (L'Indicatif) in affirmative sentences BUT with the subjunctive mood (Le Subjonctif) in negative ones
