donc or alore

can you use Donc, instead of Alors for 'so"?

Hi Phillida,

I have decided to change my answer as although in this context you could use 'alors' or 'donc' for so, it won't always be the case so they are not truly interchangeable .

Donc = so / therefore

Alors = so/ then/ yet
