I answered this question with attends que and was marked wrong. In the notes on attendre que it says "to wait for [someone] i.e. Frank to do [something] i.e. not to come" why is my answer wrong?
In simple terms -
attendre que = to wait for something to happen ( just a question of time)
s'attendre à ce que = to expect something to happen ( it's an expectation- something that might happen or might not
You could say -
You cannot 'wait' for someone not to come it has to be 'expect' in this case.
Hope this helps!
