Which is the best translation of the line in the exercise?  And how does the meaning change, if at all, if “épaisse” is before or after “couche”?

Hi Mary,

The English gave you -

A thick layer of ice

so you could say-

Une épaisse couche de glace

Une couche de glace épaisse
