Bonjour Maarten,

Merci pour votre commentaire ;-) ! En effet, les bretons bataillent (un peu) pour la préservation de leur langue. Having been brought up in Brittany, I can ascertain that Breton culture is definitely still very much ALIVE! A lot of people work very hard to keep it that way and to promote Breton culture / language in France and abroad. I had to bring my 'bombarde' with me when I settled in the UK - to say how much my breton heritage means to me !

If you fancy bit more on this topic, here is link on 'la culture bretonne'

Merci et bonne lecture ! Kenavo !

Céline - Brittany is beautiful and amazing, if we don’t mention the rain (and the unusual snow recently too). Yec’hed mat regularly accompanies Santé with drinks in our house. Even our closest Aussie friends who spent a week with us in Dinard in 2018 have adopted it ! In Australian it sounds very much like one of our insults though, so never said in a pub !

Our nephew does great impersonations - being from the East (Belfort), Alsacien is a specialty, and now, of course, he does Breton too.
