Bonjour José,
Jim is correct! In this context, "faire doublon" means "to have something twice", i.e. to have the same gift twice. Its meaning has "evolved" over the years as per Maarten's references, which are still valid nowadays.
I hope this is helpful.
Bonne journée !
Hi José,
So you understand that "doublon" is a duplication?
Therefore to faire doublon is to make or do a duplication.
Bonne continuation
Jom
In this context “un doublon” seems to me a typographical error, and “faire doublon” the expression translates as ‘(to) make a typographical error’. There is disagreement in definitions online as to how specific the typographical error is.

Oops, on listening again (properly this time), it is clearly as Jim and Céline mention, although I have learned a new meaning for 'un doublon' through the misuderstanding.
