Hi Lynda,

The sentence was -

Je m'assurerai que le docteur vous prenne entre deux consultations = I'll make sure that the doctor sees you between two consultations

It is the reflexive verb -

s'assurer que = to make sure that

So

Je m'

is correct.

It is different from the verb 'assurer quelqu'un' ( to assure someone )

C'est bon, je vous assure = It's good I assure you /I swear to you

p.s. vous in that case, not 'tu'

Bonne Continuation!

Hi Lynda,

As I understand what was being said   --  the receptionist cannot offer an appointment today but sought to provide some help and would check with the doctor

So she needed to "check" or "assure herself" therefore "je m'assurerai"

This is my understanding, but I would like to see what others may comment.
