Grammar regarding the formation of questions
This question relates to:French lesson "Inverted questions with reflexive verbs in the compound past (Le Passé Composé) in French"
Asked 3 years ago

Hi Judith,
The question words used in the examples given are 'où' and 'pourquoi', I would add 'comment', because these are cases with reflexive verbs, not all question words apply-
Pourquoi Annie s'est-elle cachée ? = Why did Annie hide?
Où Bertrand s'est-il trompé de route ?= Where did Bertrand take the wrong road?
Pourquoi mon frère et toi se sont-ils disputés ? = Why did my brother and you fall out?
Comment mes enfants se sont-ils battus ? = How did my children fight?
Hope these help!

Hi Judith,
Apart from est-ce que as a phrase, individual words may be:-
Qui, que, quel, quand.
There may be others, but these are what comes to my mind immediately.
Jim
