Here it s again... your answer is wrong

#1 is your answer, which does not have the apostrophe between "qui and il". You said this was correct.  My answer #2 has the appropriate contraction "qu'il est", but you marked it wrong. Why?

La       #1   La femme avec qui il est marié est très belle.   #2La femme avec qu'il est marié est très belle.

‘ qui ‘ does not ever contract, there is no elision of qui with a following word.  The answer marked as being correct is the correct answer.

“ ATTENTION:

Qui never becomes qu' in front of a vowel or mute h: only the letter e can be omitted for pronunciation in this case! “ 

Qui = Who/which/that (French Relative Pronouns)
