how do we know in question if it meant to be 24 hour clock or 12 hour?
This question relates to:French lesson "Telling time in French - general 12-hour clock rules"
Asked 2 years ago

Hi Carol,
With minuit you wouldn't use the 24-hour clock unless you were in the military and wanted a very precise time.
In that case, the answer anyway would have been -
vingt-trois heures trente-cinq
and the only accepted answer is
minuit moins vingt-cinq
Bonne Continuation!
