I'm confused about difference beween emménager and déménager
Déménager means to move from right, so why would I say (or would I?) Say "quand on a déménagé ici" for"when we moved here" have you got a clever illustration to help me remember?

That's a really good question!
Ok, the actual difference here is that déménager means to move out (de = from), and emménager is to move in (en = in).
However, as often with natives, French people don't always respect that nuance and sometimes use one for another, explaining why you could actually hear someone say J'ai déménagé dans le Sud. to say 'I moved in the South' :S

Oh, makes sense now. I had the same question as they seemed to be used interchangeably.
