"I went back home with three fish for dinner" – what is wrong with “Je suis rentré chez moi avec trois poissons pour le dîner?
Hi Charles,
Interesting point!
I think it is because the boy is with his father so ‘à la maison’ ) is more correct than ‘chez moi’ which means ‘at my house’ and the house is not technically his.
However, ‘chez nous’ should have been acceptable I think.
Hope this helps!
Hi Una,
Yes, you could say -
Il m'a fait voir comment mettre l'appât à l'hameçon
instead of -
Il m'a montré ...
Bonne Continuation!
Hi there could I use "faire voir" for the verb to show instead of montrer. So the sentence would be; "Il m'a fair voir comment mettre l'appat a l'hamecon "
Instead of "ll m'a montré comment mettre l'appât à l'hameçon".
Apologies but my keyboard is acting up so I am not sure why the accent are not showing in my sentences.
Sincerely Una
